What should I eat the day before the test?

You’ll need to follow a low-fermentation diet. This includes:

  • Plain boiled white rice

  • White meat or fish

  • Eggs, or tofu

  • Gluten-free or white bread

  • Black coffee or plain tea (no milk, no sweeteners)

Avoid all fruit, vegetables, dairy, wholegrains, legumes, and sugary or high-fibre foods.

Do I need to fast before the test?

Yes. You must fast for at least 12 hours before the test — typically overnight. Only plain water is allowed during this fasting period and throughout the test itself.
